THE SPECIAL MASTER: State what the situation is, that I propose to offer is to establish by Mr. Chandler the facts with reference to the forestry transactions over there, from the government records. That is done for the purpose of having it in the record accurately. I propose to take Colonel Dent's deposition, and such other army engineers as I may consider necessary, to rebut the testimony of Mr. Wolverton with reference to the operation of a one hundred ton boat. THE SPECIAL MASTER: And the improvement of the river? MR. BLACKMAR: And the improvement of the river. THE SPECIAL MASTER: And you waive the further testimony of the witness Voorhees? MR. BLACKMAR: I withdraw Mr. Voorhees. THE SPECIAL MASTER: And strike the testimony from the record? MR. BLACKMAR: It may all be stricken out. MR. FARNSWORTH: On what theory do you withdraw it?
