Show 7441 Wolverton- RD 5420 A To the mouth of the Dirty Devil or Freemont river. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q All the way on foot? A All the way; at times we had to climb out on the cliff and then come in at another point. Q At what places do you remember when you climbed out to the rim or on the cliffs, as you say? A At one place, I will say, ten miles below the first cataract where we went out; another place possibly twenty miles below the first cataract where we had to go out, make a detour. Q It is a very narrow canyon at the end of Cataract canyon, isn't there a very narrow stretch there? A It is quite narrow. Q Could you get along the bank of the river there? A Yes; always a little talus lying along the river that is not disturbed. THE SPECIAL MASTER: I withdraw my remark, Mr. Farnsworth, when I said you couldn't tell, because there had been no evidence that he had been below there. I withdraw the remark I made. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q Have you been up at Westwater canyon? A Westwater? Q Yes, up on the Grand, near the Colorado line. |
