Show 7448 Varley- D 5427 holes to determine the extent of the deposit at depth. Q Diamond drilling? A Not diamond drilling,-- churn drilling and core drilling; some diamond drilling. Q What were the results of those core drilling with reference to depths? A There are evidently two deposits, or two different strata, which contain the copper; one on top which averages approximately forty to sixty feet in depth; the deposit comes to the surface; in other words, there is no material on top, the ore- bearing material comes right to the surface. There is then a deposit of clay which varies in thickness from four to twenty feet, and below that is another deposit of copper slightly less, from indications, in value than the upper strata. Q Have you determined the depth of that lower deposit? A Shows on the drill cores anywhere from twenty to forty feet in thickness, the second strata. Q What is the copper content of the upper deposit? A From all the samples I have gathered, and from samples of about three thousand tons which we have milled lately, the average has been around 3.28 per cent copper. Q 3.28 per cent copper? A Yes sir. Q What about the lower deposit? |
