Yes sir, I know mica when I see it. Q Do you know any claims that you think are mica claims? A I can only answer that in this way, that three years ago a mining friend of mine brought me some samples of what he claimed to be mica. I submitted the samples to the Bureau analyzed, and obtained a government report respecting mica in the United States. Acting upon what I learned through this report, he filled on the claims. Since that time has been nothing done with respect to those claims, for the reason that-- THE SPECIAL MASTER: Never mind what the reason is. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q Where are those claims located? A Located on Montezuma creek, San Juan county, about twelve or fifteen miles from the San Juan river. Q Do you know of any property operating down there and shipping any large amounts of ore in the vicinity of Bluff City, that is, within any reasonable distance of Bluff City? A I don't know what quantities of ore are being shipped there; I know that in the ten years I have been there, there |
