Show 7494 Keller- D 5473 has always been some mining for uranium and vanadium. Q Do you know any company that has carried on operations there on any extensive scale, at all? A Yes sir; the U. S. Uranium -- or Vanadium, Company, -- I don't know the exact name, has had a plant there at what is known as Little Indian,-- that is about fifty miles, I would say, from the San Juan river, and about a like distance from the Grand river. About three years ago they employed about seventy- five men in their operations there, mining and refining this ore. Q When, if at all, did they quit? A They quit at a time when -- BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q What year,-- in what year? A In that year? As I recollect, 1926. MR. FARNSWORTH: I haven't anybody here who has been in the Belgian Congo. I suppose counsel will stipulate to the time they started to get in uranium from that section and put us out of business? MR.
