A In going down the river, when we were traveling straight down the river with no intention of stopping, we didn't have any difficulty with sandbars. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Did you strike any, at all? Did you hit any sandbars? A No. THE SPECIAL MASTER: All right. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q On what occasions did you hit any sandbars or get stuck on any sandbars when you and your two companions were coming down from Greenriver to the junction? A If we wanted to go in to the bank, for instance, on the west side of the river, the current was on the east side of the river, it is impossible to get in constantly without hitting a sand bar. Q Do you have any recollection -- BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q You mean by that you can't land on a sandbar without hitting it, do you? A Certainly. THE SPECIAL MASTER: Of course.
