Show 7492 Keller- D 5471 MR. FANRSWORTH: All right. That is very fine. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q Do you have any personal knowledge concerning mineralized areas in San Juan county and in Grand county? MR. BLACKMAR: You Honor, I haven't objected to this, but it seems to me we are wandering a good deal here. THE SPECIAL MASTER: I will not let an attorney testify as to mineralized areas, Mr. Farnsworth; clearly incompetent, unless you establish him as a mineralogist. MR. FARNSWORTH: I think there are comparatively few attorneys in this section of the country who don't know something about the mining -- THE SPECIAL MASTER: It may be so, but you will have to qualify him. I won't assume an attorney is qualified on the subject mineralogy. MR. FANRSWORTH: I will ask him this question, whether he knows or not -- I can get his answer, and then see why he knows. THE SPECIAL MASTER: If you want to qualify him as an expert on mineralogy, go ahead; it is clearly incompetent otherwise. MR. FANRSWORTH: May I have this question answered, then? THE SPECIAL MASTER: Yes. |
