Q You loaded all of your drilling outfit, all of your supplies, everything you had there? A No sir. Q At the junction, did you not? A No sir. Q What did you load on to the boats on your return journey up there? A What drilling machinery we had left; we had lost ninety feet of casing and rods; what we had left and of the drilling machinery; we left a large cache of supplies and lumber from the decking of these boats, everything we could lighten them up by; and, of course, all of the bedding and tents. Q I don't now understand what your load was on that trip up the river. |
