Q In how many place would you say you found the channel stable, that is, at the same point on your trip returning to Greenriver in May, up the river, that is, and your trip down the river in April? A I couldn't say as to that. Q You found it the same in a great many place, didn't you? A I expect we did. Q You know you did, don't you? A I don't know that we did, because if anybody can track that river up and down at the same place twice in succession, they could do better than I could. Q Rather difficult, isn't it? A Yes. Q But it should be as easy, should it not, for you to give an estimate of the number of places that you found it the same where your notes were confirmed and were of aid to you, as it is to tell us the number of places where it had departed from the channel as marked by you?
