Show 3962 1982 ELMER KANE, a witness of lawful age, called by and on behalf of the complainant, having been first duly sworn according to law by the special master, was examined and testified as follows: DIRECT EXAMINATION BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Will you state your name to the court, please? A Elmer Kane. Q Mr. Kane, what is your residence at the present time? A Los Angeles; I live here. Q How old a man are you? A Sixty- six. Q And your present occupation? A I am a night watchman of the Times, - Los Angeles Times newspaper. Q What, generally, as been your occupation and experience in life since you grew to manhood? Where were you born? A I was born in central Pennsylvania; I left that country off the farm when I was nineteen, went west and got in the mining and prospecting business; followed that ever since, until the last few years. Q During your life have you had considerable experience with boats? A Yes. |
