Show 4076 Sawyer- D 2097 BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Does this picture here illustrate, or is it a correct representation of the scow? A Yes sir, I think that is the outfit as we started or were ready to start -- start down the river. Q The scows that you refer to are in front of the paddle wheel boat? A Yes, this boat ( indicating) is pushing the scows. MR. BLACKMAR: That picture, Mr, Farnsworth, we want to withdraw it and substitute a photograph which we will make of it. THE SPECIAL MASTER: That will be Exhibit 263. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Do you know how that machinery got to Wimmer's ranch, that is, I am asking of your own knowledge. A I didn't see it hauled down. Q When you got there, where was it? A It was in the process of being loaded at the ranch. Q Part of it was on land and part on the scow? A I think so. Q In the exhibit which I have just offered there appears to be a paddle wheel boat. What boat is that? A That, I think, is Mr. Wimmer's boat, that he called the Marguerite. Q When the scows were loade dup, do you know how much water they drew? |
