A Yes sir. Q Did she come up occasionally during the period of drilling operations? A She stayed down there. Q Other members of the party at times came up the river, didn't they? A No sir, I was the only one. Q You were the only one that got away. Now, Mr. Sawyer, referring to the last trip covered by your direct examination, which is first in point of time, namely, the sur-vey trhip which you made, as I recall, in the middle of July, 1914? A Yes, I think that occupied about a month, got back about the middle of August. Q Where did you go on that trip? A We went from -- you mean on the river trip? Q Yes, the river trip. A We started our river trip below the rapids there, in the neighborhood of Wimmer's ranch, and went down to the junction |
