A It was pretty high, and full of tree floating down, and logs; that was at Butler's wash, about fifteen miles down the river from Bluff. Q Mr. Zahn, when did you next go back into that country? A In November of the same year. Q How long did you stay? A I stayed until some time about the first of February of the following year. Q What was the condition of the river that year? A It was very low when I first came in there, and along in the month of January it froze up, except a small stream about a foot and a half wide. Q When you say it was very low when you first went in, just what do you mean? A A stream bed forty or fifty feet wide, and about two feet deep. Q Since 1903 how often have you been into that country? A Just once. Q What year was that? A 1915. Q When you went out of there in 1902 and 1903, how did you go out? A Went out by way of Bluff and Dolores, Colorado.
