Show 4108 Sawyer- C 2129 A We took some down with us, and Mr. Wimmer would bring us a little every now and then on his trips down. Q Mr. Wimmer made regular trips up and down the river, didn't he, supplying you with coal and other things required by your party? A More or less regularly. Q And would you off- hand be able to tell us approximate-ly the number of round trips that Mr. Wimmer made up and down the Green river supplying you with that coal and other supplies? A You mean including his trip down with us to take the outfit in? Q Yes, either including or excluding, don't care how you state it, just so we know. A I imagine he made about four or five round trips. Q He made more than that, didn't he? A We were down there a matter of -- September and October -- two months, and he came down -- I think tried to come down about once every two weeks, as I recall it. Q He succeeded whenever he tried, didn't he, so far as you are aware? A What I mean, that was the only schedule he had; approximately every two weeks he would make a trip. Q You can remember -- you are sure you have a recollec-tion of his making four or five or six round trips? |
