Shebeli, Sept. 5, 1894. Iris bright red. In Shoa, Antinori states, this species is common throughout the year in the lower " Kolla," but does not ascend to any height, Mr. Jackson procured it on Mt. A resident species, according to Heuglin, in the countries of the Beni-Amer, Bogos-land, and the whole of Abyssinia and the Gala countries ; less common in Southern Senar, Fazogl, on the Sobat and Upper White Nile to the Gazelle River. Antinori fouud it in Shoa iu small companies ascending to the higher elevations and breeding ; but it is not in Mr. Jackson's collections, nor mentioned in Dr. Reichenow's work. 132. COLIUS MACRURUS.
