The fossa between it and that of the third lumbo-sacral vertebra is smaller than those between the transverse processes of the preceding vertebrae, but the difference is not so great in L. fiavopalliatus as in P. erithacus. The centrum is again slightly wider than that of its preceding vertebra. The ventral surface of the lumbo-sacral vertebrae is somewhat keeled, ridge-like, in L. fiavopalliatus, but not so in P. erithacus (en).
