Show 320 PR. ST. GEORGE MIVART ON THE SKELETON OF [Apr. 2, neural spine (n) and a hypapophysis (h) developed much as in the preceding vertebra. Both the pre- and postzygapophyses (ptz) project slightly less than in the tenth vertebra, and an anteroposterior external (interzygapophysial) ridge (iz) connects them-a trace of which is also to be seen in the tenth vertebra. The neural arch is the shortest, antero-posteriorly, since that of the atlas. Fig. 9. Ventral aspect of 3rd to 12th vertebrae of Lorius fiavopalliatus. c. Catapophysis. d. Diapophysis. h.
