Show 8 most desirable administrative site in this general area was the Stockillore .S i te containing 80 acres. This position was tested and questioned by the Washington Office " but they agreed with the Forest Supervisor to maintain the Stockmore Administrative Site and it was necessary to cQndenm the property. The administrative site at Stockmore is still a most desirable site to serve the public needs as a Forest Service contact site for both agencies. VI. CONSULTATION WITH OTHERS i' The Bonneville Unit of the Central Utah Project received extensive public review durJng the development of the Draft and Environmental Statements. The purpose of the project and impacts were adequately discussed at least on the ~onneville Unit Collection System which includes improvements in the Duchesne River drainages. The County Commissioners in Duchesne County have recognized the value of the Stockmore Administrative Site and have been involved in this development for the past sev'eral years as the site once sold for taxes after the property was. condeumed in 1962. Onsi te discussion Df actual facilities and developments have been limi ted to Forest Service and Bureau of Reclamation p·ersonnel. These contacts include cooperative development of the site plan and suggested design criteria which will make the site more useful after the Bureau operations are complete. VII. MANAGEMENT REQUIREMENTS AND CONSTRAINTS A. Approve the use o:{' t .he Stockmore Administrative Site for development as prop.osed by the Bureau of Reclamation in the Tentative Site Plan. B. When the facilities become surplus to Bureau needs, utilize the area as an administrative site and provide summer contact information for Forest visitors. C. Minimize damage to existing v~getation. D. Protect the existing improvements on the site including the Big Spring Canal. E. Fertilize, seed, and plant disturbed sites with desirable plant species. F. Prepare 1\1emorandum of Understanding for acceptance of the Bureau of Reclamation concerning the conditions and use of this site. |
