The preliminary design calls for splitting the Stockmore Administrative site in tvlO ",lith a 200 ft. right-of-vlay for the proposed road. A 132 ft. right-of-way should be considered 'Hherever the road is built to take as little land out of production as possible. (All Forest Service proposals are based on a 132 ft. right-of-Hay.) Provision should be made to provide access to the Guard Station no matter 1-1hat location is used. Esthetically pleasing signs should be installed as need for public safety, information and convenience. Operations The Stockmore Acill1ihistrative site covers 80 acres ofvJhich approximately half is under fence for pasture and administrative buildings. The Stockmore Guard Station building s are poorly located at present for service to the recreation traffic going into the North Fork of the Duchesne River from ~-Jolf G-reek. A more ideal site for the Guard Station is on the Northwest corner of the 80 acre site (see map). Access to the ne", proposed location would come from the North Fork road. 1Vith de·J-elopment of tl18 hign-vJay on the proposed State location, the 200 ft. right-of-'imy Hill infringe on the neH site and might preclude an-y building there because of lack of space.
