Following is the data that follows thr R.O. 's letter by number items for each respective building: 1. Indian Canyon Gnard Station 2. This building is in fair condition but could be brought up to a better standard by installing a new water system ~~d reshing1ing the roof. The basic stnlcture and foundation is in good shape. 'This building has been used sparingly in the last five years because of the unadequate water systems and the condernmed bridges, but the associated horse pasture, corals, and storage sheds are currently used and needed. with the new fair labor standards act there is more da~and at present to utilize this for project work and seasonal crew housing. This past year, had the building been adequate, we would have housed our compartment exam crew there for a month. We did use the building for two weeks this fall by our fence crew. They cooked in the building and ate but had to haul culinary ,vater. 3. The location is adjacent to the Indian Canyon Highway (Utah 33) in the SW~ of Section 28, T.6.S., R.7.W., USM. 4. Plans based on present and anticipated demands call for upgrading the water system and utilizing the building as needed for seasonal crew housing and respective project work in the area. 5. The 6. The site has not yet been placed on any Historic registers, but last year we had Zone Fxcheologist Dave Gillio look over the area and asked for his recommendation. We received no formal report, but, he did comment that it had potential for inclusion as a Historic Building. 7. Historical Information The building was constructed in about 1914. It is a 16' X 40' sawed log building on a quarried stone foundation. It contains a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bath with a small lean to back porch.
