The proposed project features could affect you as a citizen in the future. It is our desire that you be informed of the impacts of this water project and that you should have an opportunity to be informed of both impacts-beneficial and adverse. Public meetings are being held on different segments of the project as research and data are being collected and analyzed. Part of the CUP Bonneville Unit Plan is the Strawberry Collector System, a 37 mile long aqueduct of tunnels, pipeline, and three reservoirs. When these features are constructed, the land use will be changed and wildlife habitat for deer, beaver, moose, grouse, etc. will be affected. This habitat can be mitigated or replaced. A Mitigation Plan has been prepared by a team from Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, Forest Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, and Bureau of Reclamation on the Strawberry Collector System. A series of public meetings are scheduled to discuss the Mitigation Plan starting at 7:00 p.m. The team which developed the Mitigation Plan and its alternatives will be presenting the plan to the public. 1. February 6 at the Duchesne High School auditorium, Duchesne, UT 2. February 7 at the Orem Civic Center, 56 North State, Grem, UT. 3. February 8 at the Salt Palace, Room 220, 100 South West Temple, Salt Lake City, UT To involve you as a citizen in our Mitigation Plan, we hope you will participate by attending one or more of the above meetings.
