Show INTERVIEW: Francisco Solaria Page 9 FS: 'vas hanging on my mother little skirt, you know, and they said, 'Get away from me, you old lady, I'm going to shoot you, if you don't leave me al9ne.' By that time one of the colonels or captains, I don't know what, you leave that lady alone, we're eating in this place and they're taking good care of us. And so, boy, he got the worse beating he ever had. And that home of ours, too, all the woman and neighbors, you know, that lived around there close, they all got together because this here junk. Girls, you know, these fellows that used to try to take the----what, can I say that? Rape them? FO: Yeah, surely. FS: And they all get together and, boy there was really glad that that, but all the . men had to leave because, go out in the mountains and hide, and that's where they're was, you know and the Carransistas----. VM: When the Villistas came in, or the Carransistas come in? FS~ The Carransista---- VM: Oh, then they went to the hills? FS: And then ah----the ones that were on the Carranza's side--- VM: Yes, they came back. |
