INTERVIEW: Francis Yanez Page 33 FY: good, but you have to get through them. That's the thing. And I think that's where the parents comes in where they don't know how to get through them. And like I say, I'm a good talker, and I'm a good listener. Maybe that's what makes that, I don't know. But I can get a bunch of, you know, a good bunch of teen-agers and just talk to them and ask them questions. I mean, how do they feel. You know, what do they want. And I think that this is where the parent is wrong. They don't get out and talk to these kids. Because the kids have got pity just like you and I, you know, and the main thing that these kids are missing---I think our kids---is love and understanding, you know, because I think once they get kicked out of a store, or out of school on account of their color or that, you know, they think that's the end of it right there. But this is where the parents should come in, you know---bring back. VM: Speaking of, on the subject of discrimination, do you remember what forms of discrimination were practiced when you were younger? Do you remember any at all or---or some?
