Show The following is an interview with Mrs. Ellen c6rdova, conducted by Bernice Mart{nez in Salt Lake City, Utah, on June 15, 1973. / BM '~rs. Cordova, where were you born? EC I was born in Farmington, Utah. BM Farmington, Utah, and when? EC 1904. BM 1904, and the month and day? EC November 20. BM You were telling me that your parents were from England. EC My father was from England and my mother from Germany, but they met in England. Mother went over to Germany, I mean England, to work when she was quite a young girl. BM And they were converted to the ... EC The LDS Church. BM LDS Church, and moved to Farmington. EC Yes, they moved directly to Farmington from England, to the home of the missionary's father. He gave them, my father a job on his ranch. BM And what kind of work did your father do on the ranch? EC Well, I don't remember actually because I wasn't born until quite a few years after that, but I don't remember what it was, whether it was a ranch or a dairy farm. It seems to me that it would be a dairy farm. I think the name was Steed and it seems to me that it was a dairy farm. |
