INTERVIEW: Louis Amador Page 5 LA: or something. Cold. We went over there to look at that place and I look at the place and I look at my brother-in-law and I look at him. And I said, James ___________________ 'Don't tell me nothing.' No, I said, I~m not saying nothing. I say you sure th~re's ore in that place? Well, sure he says, I know. It was seventy, a winch, you know, what we call a winch, like slope going down the ground, winch dip in see go like that in a whole. FO: Seventy percent? LA: Or better. Just like that. And w~ went to that winch to the 0ottom not to the bottom right then but after we start clea~ing that place. That place was clear to the level of the floor on water you didn't see a thing. I said, how can we tell? He said, oh. we got our pumps. I said, well let's get them and see what you find. We pumped that place three days in order to clear the water and every time we leave the place the next day we come back and have to pump two hour~ more to hit the bottom again. Anyhow we cleaned the place and took the slack and everything, you know, how they get once you leave them go see. We clean everything put new guys on the bucket. You had to put a bucket and a hoist, see, they have a hoist and they have everything. The other fellow had left because he says there's nothing in here.
