You just didn't---nobody'd come around to see if you needed help, or you know, the way it is now. You know, now---if people don'ttry, you know, and help themselves, they need a spanking, really. There must be something wrong up here. But they should, because there's a lot of places you can go to, you know, and if they don't listen to you, don't just go to that one person. There's other persons that'll listen to you. VM: Did the Mexicans themselves try to help each other? FY: Yeah, they did. They did. The older Mexicans---I know where I---where we were, in like a little barrio, you know? VM: Yes. FY: There was about eight families, and they did.
