Show Claims - 125 Mar. 3, 1905 Peterson, W. M., Supt. Letter to Commissioner of Indian Affairs Received letters concerning proposition of moving unallotted Utes belonging to Navajo Springs Agency to some unoccupied land on the Dolores River. Agent has not talked officially with the Utes about this transfer. Will report as soon as meeting has taken place. FRCD/ RG 75 1911 Statutes of the United States 1911 - 1912 Part 1: Public Acts and Resolutions Appropriation bills for the Confederated Bands of Utes, includes monies for employee wages and supplies, and $ 100,000 for the settlement of judgement rendered by the Court of Claims, ( p. 537- 538) Oct. 19, 1912 Hawke, 2nd Asst. Commissioner Letter to Secretary of the Interior According to Congressional Act of Aug. 24, 1912 ( Public Law No. 335), Confederated Bands of Utes to be paid $ 100,000 by judgement of Court of Claims. The agencies involved in this disbursal are the Uintah & Ouray, Navajo Springs, and So. Ute. Tribal trust funds stated to be independent of said fund. Methods and prerequisites of payment discussed. Dec. (?), 1912 Hawke, 2nd Asst. Commissioner Letter to Secretary of the Interior Recommendation for approval of So. Ute Agency roll and that Supt. of the So. Ute School be authorized to make per capita payment of $ 20 to those listed. Methods of payment to minors and incompetents defined. |
