Bryan requests information on number of school children and number who could be sent if the school provided accommodations. Jan. 22, 1885 Bryan, R. W. D., Supt. Albuquerque Indian School Letter to W. M. Clark, Agent, So. Ute Agency Eliza Bear is sick. Bryan advises that she and Charles Allen, who is also ill, return home as their symptoms resemble those of the other Ute children that died. Feb. 7, 1885 Bryan, R. W. D., Supt. Albuquerque Indian School Letter to W. M. Clark, Agent, So. Ute Agency David Root has left the school, apparently to return home. Ute Agency A request that twenty- five girls be sent to the convent's school as soon as possible, as they have a contract with the government to educate the children. Feb. 26, 1885 Bryan, R. W. D., Supt. Albuquerque Indian School Letter to W. M. Clark, Agent, So. Ute Agency Bryan reports that several children are sick. He suggests they be taken home. David Root and Page Joy have been returned to the school. Bryan requests that additional children be sent to keep the number in attendance at 27. |
