Ute Agency Charles Allen died of pneumonia. Eliza Bear is better and James Morris has an incurable eye disease. Apr. 3, 1885 Roberts, S. L., Resident Physician Letter to Stollsteimer, So. Ute Agency Roberts reports on the sickness at the school, giving the names of children and illnesses. Apr. 4, 1885 Bryan, R. W. D., Supt. Albuquerque Indian School Letter to Stollsteimer, So. Ute Agency Bryan sends to the agent a letter from the resident physician. He does not see any reason for taking the children home before their two years is up in May. Apr. 15, 1885 Bryan, R. W. D., Supt. Albuquerque Indian School Letter to C F . Stollsteimer, So. Ute Agency Bryan writes of the sickness, explaining that " those who came here were so badly diseased that the wonder is that any of them lived."
