Agent advises punishments permitted by regulations would be best. If boy persists, a non- reservation school at some distance will be the next choice, after his re- instatement to school. July 16, 1903 Smith, Joseph O., Agent, So. Ute Agency Letter to Commissioner of Indian Affairs Investigation into Juan Tubes case proved allegations presented by Mr. Tubes to be false, rations had been restored once his children were in school. He had been paid all the money that was due him from work at the Ft. Lewis reservoir and Mr. Tubes finally stated his problems had been overstated by his attorney. July 24, 1903 Jones, W.
