McCunniff is informed that he is to prepare a list of all the Indians residing or belonging on the reservation, with indications of sex, age, occupations, education, intelligence and ability to support themselves. Ute Agency Letter to the Commissioner of Indian Affairs McCunniff requests permission to add twelve Indians to the roll of the So. Ute Agency. Ignacio and others have verified that these twelve belong to the Weenimuche band and have never been included in the agency census. Ute Agency The acting commissioner responds to McCunniff's request to add the names of twelve persons to the agency rolls. He states that since these people have never been enrolled they were not party to the 1880 agreement and may be included as tribal members only if the tribes occupying the reservation agree to it.
