Peterson, Breen The agent has refused to distribute supplies to Weaselskin, who does not qualify, and he has responded by refusing to return his daughter, Bessie Burns, to the school. Apr. 7, 1905 Peterson, W. M, Supt., Ft. Lewis School Letter to Burton B. Custer, Supt., Ignacio Weaselskin says his daughter has returned to the school. He should have received rations at Ignacio. Peterson will visit Ignacio during the next ration day to clear up the confusion. Apr. 7, 1905 Peterson, W. M, Supt., Ft. Lewis School Letter to Commissioner of Indian Affairs Peterson discusses the confusion of distributing supplies at Navajo Springs and Ignacio. There are 70 Utes who live near the Ft. Lewis school who have not received rations from either place. Peterson suggests that all allotted Utes be served at Ignacio and all unallotted at Navajo Springs. Apr. 7, 1905 Peterson, W. M., Supt. Letter to Supervisor Charles H. Dickson, Ignacio Requests that allotted Utes under the charge of the superintendent of the Ft. Lewis school be places under the charge of the superintendent of the Southern Ute School at Ignacio.
