Lewis, Colorado Irvine reports on his investigation of the Indian activities in McElmo Valley, Colorado. He suggests that subagencies at two key location would maintain peace. Ute Agency Commissioner asks Agent for more information about establishing a depot at Navajo Springs to serve Indians on the western end of the reservation who cannot travel to the agency for rations.
