Show 3. of developing a Colorado River Basin Coalition - made up of CRCUP, CAP, and other Basin water project groups... which will provide a wider base of opposition to additional Dam projects. You might be interested to know that the Historic, Conservation and Recreation Service, Dep't of Interior, is now inventorying all rivers in the U.S. which qualify for study for Wild and Scenic River classification - regardless of proposed developments on them. If they qualify - they get inventoried. This includes CUP rivers and streams. Three western States - Utah, Montana and Wyoming - refused to let the HCRS fly Over or helicopter their States to verify what rivers there were. So, we are making a: great effort to see that no rivers are omitted from this list. The push now is* one of developing guidelines for the Forest Service and the BLM to regard rivers flowing across their lands as resources • to be inventoried the same as timber as a resource. So, we have a new direction to take here - provided the Sagebrush Rebellion doesn't succeedl I am working angles to get Bill and back to Utah. He is still disabled - wholly dependent upon a walker or crutches following his spinal surgery. If nerve regeneration is to take place - it may take a long, long time. As of now, there is no continued progress or improvement. Limited use of hands and legs. We don't know how long the Parish will want to keep Bill on as Parish priest - even though he does most of the duties expected of him. So, we are laying the groundwork for retiring - but wanting more assurance that we have a better retirement salary to live on than the $4,500 salary we will have. (Soc. I will be a grandmother, for the first time,in August. Our oldest daughter is expecting a child; lives in Albuquerque. Sure a contrast between our sleepy self-satisfied town and bustling Washington.
