Show Great Salt Lake Proposed Management Alternatives Analysis The purpose of this analysis is to provide a framework for a general comparison of management alternatives. Please refer to the narrative form of the GSL " Management Alternatives" section of this document for a description of alternatives. This analysis uses four general criteria to evaluate the proposed management alternatives. • Feasibility/ Effectiveness • Possible Impacts • Conflicts/ coordination • Public Trust Protection Feasibility includes consideration of the time, money and other resources required. Effectiveness indicates how successful the considered alternative would be in a general context. Possible impacts included in the consideration of ecosystem, ecology, industry and other impacts. Conflict and coordination examines user group, agency and other conflicts, and any required coordination. Public trust is a broad criterion which examines degradation or improvement in public trust values. Public trust values include the GSL management policies established by the Legislature. These management responsibilities in Section 65A- 1- 8 of the Utah Code are described in the SCCT section of this document. 175 |
