Show 11. Agriculture 11.1 Allow grazing on sovereign lands to the extent that it is consistent with public trust responsibilities. CS. Grazing permit applications are currently evaluated on a case- by- case basis by DFFSL through consultation with the DWR. A. Grazing in the 39 townships identified by the Utah Legislature for wildlife management will be managed by DWR. Grazing on all other sovereign lands will be managed by DFFSL. Existing grazing permits would be transferred from DFFSL to DWR after the status of 23- 21- 5 lands ( Issue 6.1) is determined. B. No grazing allowed on sovereign lands. Terminate existing grazing permits. C. All sovereign lands open to grazing. DFFSL would manage, monitor and coordinate law enforcement through consultation with DWR. 12. Transportation 12.1 Designate roads, causeways and utility corridors. CS. Keep north and south railroad causeways, 1- 80, Davis County Causeway and direct utilities to existing corridors on the east side of the lake and existing causeways across the lake. Periodically evaluate the need for the southern causeway fill and react to intra- lake proposals on a case- by- case basis. A. Same as CS above, except do not support AISP southern causeway fill. B. Same as A. C. Same as CS, except consider support of AISP southern causeway and entertain intra- lake transportation proposals on a case- by- case basis. 172 |
