Show It involves viewing and editing of either .a SIPPLDL file,. a Computervision EXDB, or a CIF file for interfacing with pattern generators, a SLATE representation of the compiled control-unit, and an Input/Output Map of the compiled control-unit. The examination of SI-PPLDL, CIF and 10 Map files are all simply text editors, but the examination of the SLATE representation of the compiled control-unit involves the use of a complex set of editing commands. The compiled control-unit is mapped to one of a CanputeMis1.on EXDB, CIF or SIPPLDL file, as well as a SLATE, representation if Computervision CADDS2 system for pattern gener-at.i on , This mode is requested. This selection must be made before the compilation -.bas begun. The compilation is begun by issuing the C-X C-L command in Machine Edit Mode. The control-unit must have been previously built by invoking the C-X C-S command in Machine Edit Mode in order for compilation to proceed. If the machine has not been previously bUilt, the compilation command informs the user that the control-unit must be built before it can be compiled. When the user has issued the C-X C-L command, the compiler prints the message "Compiling Control Unit" in the prompt window of the screen. When compilation is complete, the user finds that the screen has been changed to include a window on either the PPL or the elF file, whichever had been selected. In this mode, the user may examine the file, insert any comments desired and save it for future ...-ntegration with other designs or for transportation to the essentially the same as the Machine Edit Mode, except that certai.n |
