Show 94 syntactic or semantic errors found· during either database generation, simulation or compilation. EMODE provides for command mode alignment with each window. Wben a given window is selected, all commands associated With its mode are available to the user. EMODE windows are extens1 vely used as viewports onto -the many buffers used for simulation and compilation. In addi tion to the standard mode-line, prompt, and message windows provided by EMODE, ..1ndows are dynamically created and destroyed to provide an acceptable user interface for simulation. In Machine Edit Mode, a single window is created looking at the buffer which contains the SICUDL code for the control-unit. In Simulate Mode, three windows are maintained concurrently on the same screen. The first of these contains the control-unit, state-maChine, and state names along with the current status of each state (active or inactive). The seconci contains the names of the inputs and their current status. The third contains the names of the outputs and their current status. In History Examine Mode, a single window is created looking at the buffer which contains the complete simulation history. In Error Examine Mode, a single Window is created looking at the buffer which contains the error text. SWitching between these windows and modes is very easy and can be controlled either by a program or by the user. The parser, simulator, . and compiler a1l select buffers and update their text as necessary. The user can select any buffer, change certain windows and perform permitted operations at will. |
