Show 71 Independent Control-Units to PPL is that some PPL cells have placement restrictions. In particular, LATCH must .. be placed in even columns and . on even rows, and LATCH2 and SICUINV must be placed on even rows. ASSASSIN assures that these placement restrictions are met. This constitutes the algorithm for compiling from SICUDL to the NMOS PPL cell set described in chapter . numbers will be as labeled in the SLATE image. Absolute PPL Compilation Examples The following are some of the test files used in checking the compilation. Each of these examples consists of three parts. Tbe first is the SICUDL file used to perform the check. These files will be annotated with a description.of their purpose and cross references to the row segments and gate elements present in the second part, a SLATE image of the compiled state-machine. Third will be the Input/Output map produced by the compiler. This will provide needed naming of the gates and elements of the state-machine. Row segments will be referred to from left to right in a given row. Rowand column coo!"dinates will be given as • (row number, column number)'. Transitions will be annotated as follows: ' row segments .forward transition, backward transition'. Forward transition and backward t r-ans i tion will be of the form "n on m", where n is the row segment mber and m is the row number. |
