Dahlstrom.Military sharpness and discipline are introduced in weekly drill periods and are performed with precision by the NROTC drill team. Midshipmen enjoy social activities throughout the year such as dances, receptions and ceremonies. Summer cruises provide a chance to exercise classroom skills, and newly insti-tuted at the University is the Navy Flight Indoctrination Program for midshipmen interested in naval aviation careers after graduation. About seventy hours of flight and ground school instruction are offered, and the successful ones receive a private pilot's license before going on to Pensacola.THE BATTALION OF282 |
