Show Record shattering performances by Larry Zechiel and team mate Pete Brown, plus great coaching and a competitive team, were the ingredients in a better'than-average swimming season in '62. The Utes, despite a loss of eight lettermen, drowned some of the areas top teams. Colorado was turned away 61-33and the Utah paddlers swamped Nebraska 58-37. The Redskins shattered and bettered marks in every pool in which they competed. Larry Zechiel was unbeatable in his specialty, the breast-stroke, as was Pete Brown in the freestyle.
