Besides active participation in many school functions such as "U" Days, song fest, and student productions, the group has given more than 20 performances outside the school.During fall quarter the chorus performed concerts in Rangely and Craig, Colorado. It is customary for the group to make a tour during spring vacation a means by which they gain much respect for the University. This year, however, the tour was sacrificed in order for members to purchase handsome new jackets. The highlight of the season was a combined concert with the Orpheus Club. Dr. Durham, Salt Lake music critic, said that the maturity of the Orpheus Club and the depth of the Men's Chorus resulted in one of the finest concerts given here by a group of men singers in many years.Officers: Les Catmull, record secretary; Kent Pinney, president and financial secretary; Bill Baker, vice-president.160 |
