Show After eating a warm lunch in the Union cafeteria, high school band members followed university students, past and present, and interested members of the community to the stadium for the traditional Homecoming game. Amidst the still blustering snowstorm, the freezing crowd of fans watched the Utah Redskins battle the Wyoming Cowboys. It was a close, cold game with snow covering the ground before the end of the first quarter, but the spectators witnessed a valiant Utah team succumb, after a long and hard fight, to the Cowboys with a final score of 13 to 6.rThe week's activities ended on a pleasant note, however, when the student body turned out en masse for the Homecoming Dance. The snow had finally stopped and lay crisp and white on the ground. The atmosphere was one of a fanciful Utopia as Utes danced to the soothing music of the Stewart Grow Band and were entertained by the modern styling of the nationally known musical foursome called the Hi Los. The climax of an enchanting evening, and indeed, of a memorable week, arrived when this year's gracious Homecoming queen, Christine Walton, and her lovely attendants, Judie Alder and Carole Cooper, were introduced to their admiring subjects.Milt MorrisBob PextonPam HarmstonJulie Ann JonesSue HubbardSue ScoffieldPonce ReeveLee CaseMary Kay CircuitMary Lynne MarshJudy HardingSherm FullerRoselyn ColomboTom Holt |
