Show Handbook Committee members (I. to r.) Eddy Herrig, Sally Col-trin, Carol Peck and Dixie Taylor, chairman, were responsible for putting out the freshman handbook with the theme U and You. The theme tied in with the pre-school freshman orientation program. The handbook is distributed to all entering Utes with the purpose of acquainting them with the campus community.JUDGING COMMITTEEJudging Committee members (1. to r.) Jane Wirthlin; Elaine Rich; Ann Rothwell, chairman; and Norm Brockbank are in charge of selecting and obtaining judges for ASUU events. The committee also witnesses the judging and tabulates results. Judges are selected for such things as U Days, Songfest, and queen competitions.National Student Association Committee members were (1. to r. row 1) Liz Garbett; Lois Beaudoin Smith, chairman; Sue Scoffield; Ann Piper (1. to r. row 2) Lee Case, Ernie Ford, Jol Grant and Gary Lobb. During the year NSA sponsored election debates, worked with the Panel of Americans and set up a speaker policy program for the national office. The later project included all western schools affiliated with NSA. Prior to the beginning of school five NSA delegates attended a national congress at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Delgates were Mrs. Smith, Mr. Lobb, Mr. Case, Wes Howell and Bob Clark.LEADERSHIP COMMITTEELeadership Committee members Dr. Charles Seashore, Kent Mc-Crimmon, Rie Mitchell and Rex Mitchell, (1. to r.) and Suzanne Fors-berg, chairman, (not pictured) pool their knowledge of leadership skills and offer workshops to members of the studentbody and to campus groups. They sponsored a training session for the high school Model United Nations delegates. |
