Show Heading the U Days celebration for the year was Tony Middleton. Sub-chairmen were Karen Cheney, dance; Jeff Circuit, white-wash; Sue Scoffield and Lynn Davidson, publicity; Liz Hale and Sue Griffin, Songfest; Diane Hague and Judie Alder, Sweepstakes; Jackie Back and Kay Lindquist, Queens; Kathy Smith, secretary; and Bob Pexton, finances.. ; ¦ • - . . . ...,'• .;:,The traditional Songfest held in the Ute Stadium met with untra-ditional good weather. Ken Sansome was master of ceremonies.Highlighting the evening was the Sigma Greek of the Year awards to Janice Phi and Phil Pugsley Kappa Kappa SigmaPi presentation of Holbrook of Alpha of Sigma Chi. Gamma and Nu took top honors for serious songs.Chi O-mega and Sigma Chi were winners in the jj novelty division. The awards were m presented at the dance held at Lagoon and fea- * turing the Hi-Lo's. Delta Gamma copped the Sweepstakes prize for the greatest participation in U Days events. Another feature of the celebration was lighting the U. following Songfest and whitewashing it the next day.125 |
