Show 47.38kjA*The University Travel Club this year presented seven fascinating film lectures of faraway places 'round the world. These magnificent all-color motion picture ad' ventures were produced and personally narrated by outstanding well-informed travel experts who regularly appear on the nation's top adventure series. Traveler's;' would be travelers; amateur or professional photographers; student of history, geography, economics, or the international scene; or simply movie fans all saw and learned about the world from the comfort of a Kingsbury Hall seat. East, Asia, South America, and south sea islands were all included in the global tour. Dr. William G. Campbell started off the events with a trip to Indo-China, then followed Ed Lark with "Israel, Birth of a Nation" and Dr. J. Michael Hagopian on "Africa Awakens in Modern Nigeria." Portraits of Scandinavia" followed with Curtis Nagel, and then Robert Auburn presented "Viva Venezuela." In winding up the series, Thayer Soule presented the fun spot, "Hawaii," and Clifford J. Kamen produced and narrated "The Splendors of Persia."i*i8 |
