Coached by Jerry Primm, the 16 man squad is composed of ten men from Utah, two from California, two from Montana, one from Indiana and one from Idaho. Included on the team were two high school All - Americans, Keith Allred and Gary Cook. All-State performers besides Allred were Ron Jones and Dan Rideout. Other Utahns were Richard Boden, Gary Larkins, Steve McDonough, Frank Uhrhan, Joe Wightman and Brent Porter. Ken Ellsworth was an All-City man from Los Angeles and the other California athlete, Roy Walker, is a protege of a former Utah basketballer, Ted Berner.
