Show BRIGHAM CITY CLUB PRESENTS ELVA PIERSON FOR STATE RECORDING SECRETARY Elva has attended all but one of the State Conventions since be coming a member of B.P.W., most all of the Board meetings, and most District conferences. If elected she will serve the State Federation as she has done in her own club with pride and love for all. SALT LAKE CITY CLUB PRESENTS HELEN DAHLE FOR STATE RECORDING SECRETARY The Brigham City Business and Professional Women's Club is happy to place Elva Pierson as a candidate for the office of State Recording Secretary at the 1968 Convention of the Utah Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs. Elva has been a member of the Brigham City Club since 1959 and has served as Recording Secretary, Vice President, and President for the Club. She has served on the Board of the Club in the capacity of World Affairs Chairman and Personal Development Chairman. Other services for the Club have been as Chairman for the following program's activities: Business & Professional Women's Week, Y outhpower Conference, Senior Art Tea, Nominating Committee, Brigham City Peach Days Display, by-laws, and Membership Chairman for the past three years. Elva has served the Northern District as Recording Secretary, Vice Director, and Director. In the State Federation, Elva has served as Corresponding Sec retary, Membership Chairman, Timekeeper, Rules Committee and Nominating Committee. Actively engaged in business, Elva is employed at Thoikol Chemical Corporation as Teletype Crypto TWX Operator and receptionist. Active in community programs, Elva is a member of the Women's Legislative Counsel, has been a 4-H leader, active in P.T.A. and is a long term worker in the activities of her church, serving as a teacher in the L.D.S. Primary Association, Secretary-Treasurer of the Primary Association, Secretary-Treasurer of the Sunday School. Elva is also a member of the Community Concert Asso- .ciation, Elva is married and has two daughters and one son, one daughter and one son married. The youngest is a Junior in High School. In the secretarial field, and 1% Secretary Treasurer, years, Med ford, Oregon, Complete charge of all correspondence for oper ation of Crypto TWX for eight years. Secretary and Treasurer for Primary and Sunday School. It is the pleasure of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Salt Lake City to present for your consideration as State Recording Secretary, our own Helen Dahle. It is our belief that if you want a job done well, then find the best qualified person to do it. Helen's training highly qualifies her for the job. She worked for several years in Provo and Salt Lake for prom inent attorneys as a legal secretary. Presently she is employed as a secretary in the Salt Lake County Recorder's Office. Helen has devoted her talents to other areas. She presently serves the Utah Federation as Corresponding Secretary. She served two years as Recording Secretary of the Provo B.P.W. Club, also one year as Recording Secretary of B.P.W. Club of Salt Lake City. Helen served two years as President of Salt Lake B.P.W. Club. Her other accomplishments are: Past Sec retary Utah County Chapter of American Red Cross, Past Vice President of Salt Lake Chapter of Toastmistress Club and Delta Theta Chi Sorority. Presently Helen is the secretary of the Salt Lake County Employees Association. We repeat: If you want a job well done, get the best qualified person for the job.
