Show Executive Committee Meeting Jan uary 23, 1 965 Minutes of the Executive Committee meeting, January 23, 1965, at Travel Lodge Conference Room, Salt Lake City, Utah Those present: President Frances Lenox, first vice president Joyce Frisby; second vice president Olga Braden, treasurer Bernice Kendell, recording secretary Anne Kidd, corresponding secretary Vonetta Schanno, past state president Irene Parson, parliamentarian Adelyn Logan, and state bylaws 0 chairman Cynthis Curtis 0 President Lenox called the meeting to order at 8:20 p om and immediately asked Cynth ia Curtis to proceed with discussion on bylaws The Executive Committee will present any suggestions they have for changes at their next meeting so that the information can be sent to clubs Adelyn Logan suggested that Aticle VIII, Section 10, needs clarification and revision Cynthia was excused at the close of this discussion 0 0 0 0 0 A letter from state nominating chairman Myrta Hales was read stating that she had only heard from four clubs regarding candidates for state office 0 The minutes of the Executive Committee meeting on January 3, 1965, were read and approved. The treasurer presented her report for the period Ju Iy I, 1964, to Jan 15, 1965, showing a membersh ip to date of 954 and a bank ba lance of $2,481 .68. Since all of the reports from clubs have not been received by the treasurer, it was suggested that she mention this at the Board Meeting on Sunday. 0 Upon motion by Joyce Frisby and seconded by Olga Braden, it was voted that the State Federation should take care of contacting the Governor regarding the Proclamation for National Business Women IS Week 0 The program of the Board meeting was reviewed: Pledge of alligence Devotiona I thought Rowena Boren, Helper Ade Iyn Logan Panel on Status of Women Irene Warr wi II moderate with Edith Shaw, Irene Parson and Judith Wh itmer as members. Stamp books in absence of Pearl Schaeffer, the corresponding secretary wi II read her report. ' Myrta Ho les letter on candidates for state office wi II be read. Wi Ima Webb wi II be asked to report on State Convention if Lola Christensen does not get there. Libbie Maughan wi II not be able to attend because of illness. She hss prepared port of her program on membersh ip whi ch wi II be presented. Ada Burt wi II have 20 minutes as Sharemanship Chairman, Region IV. - - - - Ada Ccrpenters portion on programming wi II be given in the morning if possible The luncheon collect wi II be led by Irene Parson. At lunch one of the Beaver students who attended the Youthpower Conference wi II play the piano Leah Dunford wi II give her report on the Conference assisted by three students; each wi II review a di fferent session. Leah, wi II give recommendations for conferences on a state and loca I leve I Maude Ogden, civic participation, and Hilda Gardner, world affairs, will both be absent.
