Show March 13, 1965 Executive Committee Minutes A rneet inq of the Executive Committee of the Utah Federation of Business and Professiona I Women1s Clubs was held Saturday, March 13, 1965, at the home of Frances Lenox, Verna I, Utah. Those present: President Frances Lenox, first vice president Joyce Frisby, recording secretary Anne Kidd, corresponding secretary Vonetta Schanno, and pari iamentarian Ade Iyn Logan. The president called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m.. The minutes of the executive committee meeting on January 23, 1965 were read and approved. The minutes of the Winter Board meeting on January 24, 1965, were read and with one correction. approved Information sent by treasurer Bernice Kendell indicated 997 paid members and bank balance of $2,475.25. President Frances requested the officers to submit their for expenses payment. a Joyce Frisby reported outstanding bi lis on the Youthpower Conference in the on Iy $99.24 in the bank. Upon motion by Anne Kidd and seconded it was Vonetta voted that all outstanding bills be paid using fonds from the Schanno, by State Federation checking account as required and reimburse this account as additional funds amount of $375 .48 with are received. Vonetta Schanno read a telegram from Sears Roebu.ck stating that the Sears Roebuck Foundation has approved $300 for a Youthpower Conference at Utah State University. This telegram and the letter to follow will be passed on to the next president of the Federation. A letter from finance chairman Dorcas Roberts requested recommendations on the for their meeting on March 22. This yeors budget was reviewed,and suggestions budget to provide more adequate coverage of the presidents expenses were made and wi II be passed on to the committee. \ Upon motion by Joyce Frisby and seconded by Vonetta Schanno, it was voted that thJEongressmen's offices in Washington, D. C., be .contocted to see if there is a young Utah girl who could represent the federation at Na'fional Convention with the Federation paying the necessary expenses. U h At 3:00 p.m. the convention committee of the Vernal Club (Lola Christensen, chairman, Polly Adams, and Rhoda DeVed) joined the meeting. Truell, chairman, Oregon Bus Tour, requested lists of club presidents and district chairmen in order to solicit prospective passengers to Washington, D. C., for National Convention. It was agreed trot Anna Stark be osked to serve as the state chairman for Nationa I Convention. A letter from Dorothy Ford stated that 39 Commissions on the Status of Women have been formed and 13 of the chairmen are BPW members. Jean Fox has consented to serve as Resolutions Chairman and has written to all vice district directors to serve with her. |
